My Story
It's hard to write a personal story. You wonder where to begin. How to tell others what prompted you to begin a home-based business, Why do you love the stuff? Why do you continue to sell? So here is my story. It is not a grand one, but it is mine and I add to it everyday. My name is Katie and I am married with 4 children. My husband and I have been married since 2009. I am not a military wife although my husband is a disabled veteran of the US Army. I am a strong supporter of the military and the rights of disabled vets. I have a step-son who lives with his mother in Texas and three daughers who live with us. I am a native of TEXAS, but I chose to move to Colorado to be near the mountains I love. Why did I chose to sell Scentsy? In the summer of 2011 I was looking for a way to make some extra money and a friend from high school contacted me about possibly becoming a Scentsy Consultant. I did not even know what Scentsy was, never heard of it. Teresa Carter (my sponsor) gave me her website and I placed an order. I ordered a Scentsy Companion System. Full size warmer was Boleyn and the plug-in was Tea Rose. My first 3 bars Luna, Coconut Lemongrass, and Thunderstorm. I was in love at first sniff. I made the decision to sign up before I even plugged in my warmers. I was a candle person. I did not like the soot was that generated or the danger of having a lit flame. I had forgotten in the past to blow out a candle when I went to sleep one night. I have pets and I was also concerned about one of them knocking over a candle or even worse, burning themselves. I love that Scentsy takes away that danger. In my first 15 days of being a consultant, I earned my Shooting Star by selling $500 worth of products. I made Certified Consultant within a month of signing up. Within my first 70 days I earmed my Scentsational Start Level 1. I did not get my first recruit until February of 2012 and the my second one in Novemeber of 2012. I am a Star Consultant and earned that in September of 2015. I now have a team of 6 (including me). I would love to continue to promote up and become a Director within the next year. For that to happen I need to recruit, but I am really not a recruiter. I love this product so I sell it. I want everyone I know to love it too. I hope you love it as much as I do! As for my first warmer purchased. Still sitting on my dresser in my bedroom and turned on daily.
